Today we had DIAS class from 1 AM to 5 .20
PM.As the Super Scholar - 2015 test is to be conducted on 150201 the applications were got filled and the duly attested hall tickets were issued .All the children from DIAS were instructed to appear in the exam.Today's absentees will be instructed over phone.Then review of news was presented by some. Importance of days were also presented by Reshma.After news review as instructed earlier students formed groups according to their classes and syllabus and had discussions on Science subjects based on the topics for the final exams. Children of 8th standard used power point presentations too for their learning.Prem Sidharth was the one who came with powerpoint presentation having more than 200 slides.Using laptop they all had an effective learning. Then questions were prepared and asked among themselves.Questions were asked at random by me too.After the academics the meaning of National Anthem was shared by Reshma among them. There will not be class on next sunday 150201 as Super Scholar exam is there. Our next class will be on 150208 and we will be learning Social Science and Computer Science.
Thus we had a great time today.Thanks.

Students shared many facts and experiences. Then we continued by learning about India. Started drawing with map. They it was with states, capitals, chief ministers, languages and so on.... Then came to Kerala.... Detailed study about each district..... The academic discussion was most interesting. More than one hour students were taking classes. Aiswarya santhosh covered the mathematics topics by one hour interestingly.... Students tout the subjects.... Viii standard

[08/02 21:06] Il. dias. Alapy. shobha: Namasthe from Alappuzha.As the Super Scholar test was conducted at SDV on 150201 there was no DIAS class on that day. Today we had DIAS class from 1 PM to 5 PM.38 students were present.Started with review of news .Then we had discussion of lessons from Social science and Computer science in the group formed on the basis of class and syllabus.Each one made questions and asked among them. I asked questions to each group at random.After completing the academic session as Guruji did in 'Uthsarg' the children were asked to write names of 10 eminent and famous personalities who contributed to India .They were asked to write those names which should not be written by others. In 5 minutes seven children completed.They read the names.Some names were repeated.They could tell something about those persons too.Names got from Guruji's program was read by Reshma and were written by all. Some Students were ready to recollect the names without the help of books.Thus the class came to an end by 5 PM.
Next class will be on 150214 .We will be revising English,Hindi and Malayalam that day.Thanks.Sobha.Alappuzha.

While they were passing a lake, Buddha told one of his disciples, "I am thirsty. Do get me some water from the lake."
The disciple walked up to the lake.
At that moment, a bullock cart started crossing through the lake.
As a result, the water became very muddy and turbid.
The disciple thought, "How can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink?"
So he came back and told Buddha, "The water in there is very muddy. I don't think it is fit to drink."
After about half an hour, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back
to the lake.
The disciple went back, and found that the water was still muddy.
He returned and informed Buddha about the same.
After sometime, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back.
This time, the disciple found the mud had settled down, and the water was clean and clear.
So he collected some water in a pot and brought it to Buddha.
Buddha looked at the water, and then he looked up at the disciple and said,
" See what you did to make the water clean. You let it be, and the mud settled down on its own, and you have clear water."
Your mind is like that too ! When it is disturbed, just let it be. Give it a little time. It will settle down on its own.
You don't have to put in any effort to calm it down.
It will happen. It is effortless."
Having 'Peace of Mind' is not a strenuous job, it is an effortless processso keep ur mind cool and have a grt life ahead...

Alappuzha.Today, 150214 we had DIAS class from 1.15 PM to 5.45 PM.30 students attended the classs .As usual we started with review of last week's news.Each day's importance was also shared.After that we had academic discussion and answering of questions prepared by them grouping of children according to their class and syllabus.We learned English, Hindi and Malayalam today.After that they were taught some grammer , Tenses,passive voice and reported speech. Children were asked to do some exercise on the blackboard . Some did well.After that SWOT Analysis was done by each student and revealed their strength,weakness opportunities and threat.They were asked to find out all their strength,weakness, oppornities and threat and constraints to help them to overcome the threats and weakness and to enhance the strength using all the opportunities available.All the exercise came to a close by 5.45 PM.Next class will be on 150217.Thanks.Sobha,Alappuzha DIAS.

Today we had DIAS class from 10 A.M to 1.45 P.M. Today also 30 students were present.As always we started with review of news and many students shared what they gained from last week's news papers.Many of the children were allowed to present the updated information. Importance of each day was also shared.After that academic discussions were done by the students .They were grouped according to their class and syllabus.Today the children asked the team members questions regarding all subjects .Some gave maths problems too and the solutions were done on the blackboard. After the academic session they were given time for analysing the different roles they have to perform, goals they set and values they have to keep up.They listed them and readout. Happy to see many children are ready to share their views. All the exercise came to an end by 1.45 P.M. The DIAS Children who quaified in the Super scholar examination were congratulated in the class. Some general instructions were also given to them. Alapy. shobha: Namasthe from Alleppey.After a long gap we had DIAS class on 150402 and today 150405 from 10 A.M to 1.15 P .M.As the vacation started many of the children are away from home and could not attend the class.So the attendance was 18 and 13 respectively.But before entering into the level II we had to conclude.
As always the class started with the review of news.Many shared the updation.The importance of the days were also shared.
Thereafter they were given topics for project work with 3 topics for each class and a total of 12 topics were given.Any of the three can be chosen and have to submit on 10th.The terms and conditions to be observed were also given along with.
Besides a quiz competition was conducted based on selected topics of General knowledge Quiz from Manorama Year book.Children were grouped into 6 teams.All were performed both the roles as Quiz masters and students.Each team asked 10 questions.All had to answer 50 questions.The highest score was 45.
But feel bad that some are still afraid of quiz and assignments.May be because of that they try to escape from such situations...

Today we had DIAS class from 1 AM to 5 .20
PM.As the Super Scholar - 2015 test is to be conducted on 150201 the applications were got filled and the duly attested hall tickets were issued .All the children from DIAS were instructed to appear in the exam.Today's absentees will be instructed over phone.Then review of news was presented by some. Importance of days were also presented by Reshma.After news review as instructed earlier students formed groups according to their classes and syllabus and had discussions on Science subjects based on the topics for the final exams. Children of 8th standard used power point presentations too for their learning.Prem Sidharth was the one who came with powerpoint presentation having more than 200 slides.Using laptop they all had an effective learning. Then questions were prepared and asked among themselves.Questions were asked at random by me too.After the academics the meaning of National Anthem was shared by Reshma among them. There will not be class on next sunday 150201 as Super Scholar exam is there. Our next class will be on 150208 and we will be learning Social Science and Computer Science.

Students shared many facts and experiences. Then we continued by learning about India. Started drawing with map. They it was with states, capitals, chief ministers, languages and so on.... Then came to Kerala.... Detailed study about each district..... The academic discussion was most interesting. More than one hour students were taking classes. Aiswarya santhosh covered the mathematics topics by one hour interestingly.... Students tout the subjects.... Viii standard

Today we had DIAS class from 1 PM to 5 PM.38 students were present.Started with review of news .Then we had discussion of lessons from Social science and Computer science in the group formed on the basis of class and syllabus.Each one made questions and asked among them. I asked questions to each group at random.After completing the academic session as Guruji did in 'Uthsarg' the children were asked to write names of 10 eminent and famous personalities who contributed to India .They were asked to write those names which should not be written by others. In 5 minutes seven children completed.They read the names.Some names were repeated.They could tell something about those persons too.Names got from Guruji's program was read by Reshma and were written by all. Some Students were ready to recollect the names without the help of books.Thus the class came to an end by 5 PM.
Next class will be on 150214 .We will be revising English,Hindi and Malayalam that day.Thanks.Sobha.Alappuzha.

The disciple thought, "How can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink?"
So he came back and told Buddha, "The water in there is very muddy. I don't think it is fit to drink."
After about half an hour, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back
to the lake.
The disciple went back, and found that the water was still muddy.
He returned and informed Buddha about the same.
After sometime, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back.
This time, the disciple found the mud had settled down, and the water was clean and clear.
So he collected some water in a pot and brought it to Buddha.
Buddha looked at the water, and then he looked up at the disciple and said,
" See what you did to make the water clean. You let it be, and the mud settled down on its own, and you have clear water."
Your mind is like that too ! When it is disturbed, just let it be. Give it a little time. It will settle down on its own.
You don't have to put in any effort to calm it down.
It will happen. It is effortless."
Having 'Peace of Mind' is not a strenuous job, it is an effortless processso keep ur mind cool and have a grt life ahead...
Never leave Your close ones.

Alappuzha.Today, 150214 we had DIAS class from 1.15 PM to 5.45 PM.30 students attended the classs .As usual we started with review of last week's news.Each day's importance was also shared.After that we had academic discussion and answering of questions prepared by them grouping of children according to their class and syllabus.We learned English, Hindi and Malayalam today.After that they were taught some grammer , Tenses,passive voice and reported speech. Children were asked to do some exercise on the blackboard . Some did well.After that SWOT Analysis was done by each student and revealed their strength,weakness opportunities and threat.They were asked to find out all their strength,weakness, oppornities and threat and constraints to help them to overcome the threats and weakness and to enhance the strength using all the opportunities available.All the exercise came to a close by 5.45 PM.Next class will be on 150217.Thanks.Sobha,Alappuzha DIAS.

Today we had DIAS class from 10 A.M to 1.45 P.M. Today also 30 students were present.As always we started with review of news and many students shared what they gained from last week's news papers.Many of the children were allowed to present the updated information. Importance of each day was also shared.After that academic discussions were done by the students .They were grouped according to their class and syllabus.Today the children asked the team members questions regarding all subjects .Some gave maths problems too and the solutions were done on the blackboard. After the academic session they were given time for analysing the different roles they have to perform, goals they set and values they have to keep up.They listed them and readout. Happy to see many children are ready to share their views. All the exercise came to an end by 1.45 P.M. The DIAS Children who quaified in the Super scholar examination were congratulated in the class. Some general instructions were also given to them. Alapy. shobha: Namasthe from Alleppey.After a long gap we had DIAS class on 150402 and today 150405 from 10 A.M to 1.15 P .M.As the vacation started many of the children are away from home and could not attend the class.So the attendance was 18 and 13 respectively.But before entering into the level II we had to conclude.
As always the class started with the review of news.Many shared the updation.The importance of the days were also shared.
Thereafter they were given topics for project work with 3 topics for each class and a total of 12 topics were given.Any of the three can be chosen and have to submit on 10th.The terms and conditions to be observed were also given along with.
Besides a quiz competition was conducted based on selected topics of General knowledge Quiz from Manorama Year book.Children were grouped into 6 teams.All were performed both the roles as Quiz masters and students.Each team asked 10 questions.All had to answer 50 questions.The highest score was 45.
But feel bad that some are still afraid of quiz and assignments.May be because of that they try to escape from such situations...
